Finally, we will get closure for one of the greatest flyweight trilogies in the sport, which started in November 17th of 2012, and will conclude (hopefully) on December 3rd of 2022, a little over ten years later. The bout which will take place at the Desert Diamond Arena, in Glendale, Arizona, will be shown worldwide on DAZN.
The two have given us two modern classics, as the first could be viewed as the birth of modern pugilism that got the world’s attention, as Gonzalez defeated Estrada. In 2021, the two rematched in which Estrada won a narrow decision - the fight in December is for pride and legacy.
The two all-time greats will look to answer the question of who the best flyweight/super flyweight of their era was/is.
