Carlos Adames vs. Julian Williams: Live Stream, Betting Odds & Fight Card

Showtime Boxing returns to its new home away from home, the Armory in Minneapolis, MN, to host an interim WBC middleweight title fight. The interim champion Carlos Adames (22-1, 17 KOs) will put his title on the lines against former unified junior middleweight champion Julian Williams (28-3-1, 16 KOs).

Adames had a quiet 2022 as he only gloved up once, a third-round TKO victory over Juan Macias Montiel (23-6-2, 23 KOs) in October. Adames is looking to regain his momentum and try to lobby for the Jermall Charlo fight he has long desired in the near future. He may have to wait a little longer if the rumors are true about Charlo facing Canelo Alvarez in the fall, so a victory over someone like Williams would get him the attention he desires.

“J-Rock” Williams has had a quiet few years, as he hasn’t fought more than once yearly since 2018. Inactivity is the kryptonite for fighters, especially those that were world champions in the past. Williams can get the rematch he’s been wanting with Charlo, but at middleweight if he can beat Adames on Saturday. It will be tough, but if there were ever a time to pull out a huge victory, it would be now against Adames.
