Canelo Favors Fury over Usyk

It is fight week for the marquee star of the sport, Canelo Alvarez, as this Saturday, September 17th, Canelo will face Gennadiy Golovkin, live in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the T-Mobile Arena, and live on DAZN PPV.

Canelo in recent weeks has wondered about a potential fight with Oleksandr Usyk, one that Canelo expressed interest in, as this week Canelo reflected on Tyson Fury vs. Usyk, the biggest super-fight in the sport of boxing in the heavyweight division.

“Usyk is a really great fighter, I saw him a long time ago,” said Alvarez to Behind The Gloves. “He’s a great fighter with a lot of skills, but I think Fury has everything, weight, he has boxing skills. I think it’s going to be difficult for Usyk.”

Fury, a generational heavyweight seems to be Canelo’s favorite in the bout, based on the combination of size, skill, and ability, but even with one of the best Mexican fighters ever favoring Fury, most fight fans are clamoring at the thought of Fury facing Usyk.

Does Canelo's thoughts on this fight change your opinion of how this potential heavyweight super-fight might go?
