Brits Conor Benn and Tommy Fury enter WBC official ratings

Conor Benn is back in the WBC rankings and he has been rated at number seven in their latest welterweight list.

Benn, who is not licensed by the British Boxing Board of Control, has been linked to bouts with retired Filipino veteran Manny Pacquiao and retired Sheffield star Kell Brook, but he stated on an Instagram story recently that the fight he most wants is the one with Chris Eubank Jr.

Benn and Eubank had been due to fight in October last year but following Benn’s well-documented two positive tests for clomiphene, the bout was pulled at the 11th hour.

Benn is not the only Brit to be welcomed into the WBC’s latest rankings. Tommy Fury has been handed the 39th spot at cruiserweight following his eight-round points win over Jake Paul in Saudi Arabia last month.
