Brandon Glanton, Touted As Cruiserweight Title Contender

Brandon Glanton is currently ranked #8 in the WBA cruiserweight rankings, and #14 in the WBO rankings, is impressing a slew of hall-of-famers after his last appearance on ProBoxTV.com, on Friday, September 9th.

“One thing about Glanton is when he is on the inside he throws with a lot of firepower, he’s a big puncher, and his a guy who knows how to get you out of there,” said Paulie Malignaggi, a former multi-division world champion, who is now a ProBoxTV broadcaster. “We're going to continue to monitor his progression. If he can cut a couple of things out of his style, and maybe make some subtle improvements, I think this guy can go pretty far, and be a fun guy to watch.

Glanton, who is currently undefeated, with a knockout ratio higher than 80%, who last year was in a fight of the year contender against Efe Apochi, now seems to have the television dates to get him to the top of the division, as he has now fought on two ProBox TV card within three months of each and might return before the end of the year.

Glanton isn’t just a good fighter as his nickname is memorable as well, with a moniker like “Bulletproof”, it is hard to ignore it as well.

“Impresses me is his energy he brings to the fight,” said world champion and ProBox TV broadcaster Antonio Tarver. “You know, no matter who’s in front of him, he has that same energy, and that’s a great nickname ‘Bulletproof’. That’s a great nickname because you think about it, to be bulletproof you have be pretty much invincible.

Glanton is the most exciting U.S.-based cruiserweight contender born and raised in the United States.
