Aren’t we all tired of the word “super-fight”…because what that usually means is simple.
A fight that gets prolonged well past the point in which we want to see it.
The father and trainer of Jaron “Boots” Ennis, Derek “Bozy” Ennis, has one of the best minds for the sport, and is one of the few in boxing that when he speaks I listen.
“…because of the way they building [Vergil Ortiz]. They doing a good job,” said the elder Ennis, who spoke with Hans Themistode of BoxingScene.com, about if Vergil Ortiz and Boots Ennis would be the last two left in the welterweight division. “It’s a tough fight because they both fight similar. They coming right to you but I have to sway to Ortiz because he’s a puncher. It’s gonna be a war though from the beginning.”
