This week, there is an intriguing welterweight fight on WNF (Wednesday Night Fights) on ProBoxTV. Janelson Figueroa Bocachica (17-1-1, 11 KOs) will face Alberto Palmetta (18-2, 13 KOs) in a ten-round main event.
Bocachica is battle-tested, and his only loss came 14 months ago against Roiman Villa ((26-2, 24 KOs). Can Bocachica rebound from that loss and get himself back into contender status in the soon-to-be wide-open welterweight division? Palmetta is also coming off a loss against Jamal James (28-2, 12 KOs) in February. However, he looks to take advantage of this main event opportunity to get himself right back into title contention.
The co-main event features the return of Angelo Leo (21-1, 9 KOs), who hasn’t been in action since June 2021, where he won a majority decision over Aaron Alameda (27-2, 15 KOs). Leo was a rising contender who fell short against Stephen Fulton Jr. in January 2021 and has been inactive. Now, he looks to regain that momentum he once had as he faces Nicholas Polanco (20-4-1, 11 KOs) in the co-feature.
