Bivol Not Interested In Canelo Rematch

Dmitry Bivol is the first one to tell you that as of now, a rematch with Canelo Alvarez is not all that exciting for him. For those unaware, in May of this year, Bivol picked defeated Canelo Alvarez by an unanimous decision.

“Every champion wants a rematch,” Bivol told FightHubTV. “It’s ok for him (Alvarez) that he wants a rematch.”

Bivol, who is the long-reigning WBA light heavyweight champion upset Canelo Alvarez this year, and is making his case for Fighter of the Year on November 5th with his fight against Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez.

“Of course, the better way for me to move forward, up, but we can talk about a rematch,” said Bivol. “…it’s not interesting for me like it was before.”

Simply put - Bivol feels as though the first result against Canelo has him relatively uninterested to face the famous Mexican prizefighter again.

Bivol will fight Gilberto Ramirez on November 5th, in Abu Dhabi.
