WBO cruiserweight champion Chris Billam-Smith (18-1, 12 KOs) faces Mateusz Masternak (47-5, 31 KOs) live from the Bournemouth International Centre in the U.K. With sports trying to cram in last-minute events before the year is out, it makes sense for Boxxer to have this one on a Sunday, which will have all fight fans and media focused on this event.
Billam-Smith is coming off winning the WBO title via a majority decision victory over Lawrence Okolie (19-1, 14 KOs)in May, which caught most fans by surprise. With Billam-Smith having the momentum of winning the title, he looks to successfully defend it so that next year, he can focus on attempting to unify the division.

Masternak is a seasoned veteran who has been in the ring with the likes of Yuniel Dorticos and Tony Bellew, to name a few. Although he did not come out victorious in those fights, the experience he gained is something Billam-Smith doesn’t possess, so it’ll be interesting to see how this fight plays out.
