Benn to Haney: He is just jealous, he never had power.

Conor Benn defeated Pete Dobson widely in Las Vegas, but talk afterwards was that Dobson still managed to go all 12 rounds.

It marked Benn’s second straight decision win and Devin Haney, the current WBC junior-welterweight champion, took to the social media platform X to bash Benn.

“Left that XXXX in the needle,” alleged Haney on X, referring to Benn’s two positive VADA tests in 2022.

Benn took exception to that in response and has always claimed his innocence.

“What the [expletive] is he talking about,” said a frustrated Benn. “He [Haney] hasn’t knocked out anyone in his last fifteen fights.”

Benn holds a record of 23-0 (14 KOs). The 25-year-old Haney is 31-0 (15 KOs). Haney was the undisputed lightweight world champion and holds the WBC junior-welterweight title.

Haney has been negotiating to face Ryan Garcia, but Been listed him as one of five opponents he would like to face next when he took to X today, including Mario Barrios, Chris Eubank Jr, Kell Brook and Errol Spence, although he also went back and forth with Tank Davis on social media today, and not for the first time.

“What is he [Haney] talking about power?” Benn asked rhetorically. “He has never had power. My DNA is strong, don’t worry about that. I am fresh out of my dad [Nigel Benn]. So when [he] wants to talk about power, he is just jealous because he has never had none.”
