Tim Tszyu says Jermell Charlo ducked him

It took only a few hours for the WBO junior middleweight secondary champion, Tim Tszyu to fire some shots at Jermell Charlo, with Canelo Álvarez even catching a few strays in the process.

As most boxing fans know by now, Canelo Álvarez will be fighting Jermell Charlo, in a battle that will see two undisputed world champions facing each other, which is being rumored for September 30th, with no official press release at the time of this publication. Canelo Álvarez, the undisputed super middleweight champion, taking on Charlo, the undisputed junior middleweight world champion - with no weight announced for the fight as of now. The bout taking place a little later than Canelo's typical and traditional September fight date each year.

“Canelo ducks benavidez. Charlo ducks Tszyu…[SIC],” posted Tszyu on his Instagram story.

Just early this week is alleged by multiple sources that Tim Tszyu versus Jermell Charlo was in the final stages of being announced for October. The shocking news left most confused and wondering if a mass typo happened as it was assumed that the WBC middleweight world champion, Jermall Charlo would fight Canelo Álvarez, not his twin brother, who holds all four world titles at junior middleweight.

On June 17th, Tim Tszyu stopped Carlos Ocampo in one round and prior had knocked out Tony Harrison, as Tszyu has stayed very active while trying to pursue a Jermell Charlo fight that was originally set to occur in January 2023.
