TGB Promotions reserves Las Vegas dates for November and December, signaling the possible returns of Gervonta Davis and David Benavidez.

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada State Athletic Commission approved numerous holds on dates from multiple combat sports promoters for events in fall and winter this year, and also spring 2024.

At a meeting Probox TV attended Thursday, the commission granted TGB Promotions dates for shows at either MGM Grand Garden Arena or T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for November 4 and 11, as well as December 9 and 30 which, again, is for either venue.

TGB is the promoter of choice for boxing management firm Premier Boxing Champions and PBC is relatively tight-lipped regarding who will headline its November and December events.

ESPN, though, reported earlier in the month that organizers were planning a super middleweight fight between David Benavidez and Demetrius Andrade.

A ProBox TV source, meanwhile, told us this week that Gervonta Davis "might return in December."

The Las Vegas combat sports schedule may not stop there as the commission approved a request from Top Rank for a boxing event February 10 at the Mandalay Bay, but considering Shakur Stevenson is linked with a November return to Vegas himself, and Devin Haney has a prospective bout with Regis Prograis, it is unclear who could headline that event.

Elsewhere, the commission approved other events that PBC and Golden Boy Promotions had previously announced.

The commission approved the Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo event for September 30 at the T-Mobile Arena.

And it also approved the October 7 card at The Chelsea theater inside The Cosmopolitan that Gilberto and Joe Smith Jr. will headline.
