Shakur Stevenson finally has an opponent as he is set to face the number-six ranked contender, Edwin De Los Santos which will to place for the vacant WBC lightweight title. The eagerly anticipated showdown is scheduled for November 16th in Las Vegas, Nevada, which is a Thursday, and will be broadcasted on ESPN, coinciding with the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend, as F1 will be doing a race in Las Vegas for the first time.
De Los Santos is a big puncher and recently securing a third-round TKO victory over Jose Valenzuela and outboxed Joseph Adorno over ten rounds. This is all coming after moving up a weight class after an eight-round split decision loss to William Foster III in 2022. De Los Santos has been calling for Stevenson, and now that the time is present - it has shown that he is ready for the for the challenge.
