It appears that we will see a second bout between Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr., as one of Spence's most trusted people in his inner circle spoke, Derrick James, Spence's head trainer, recently spoke to the media in the build-up to his promotional duties as one of Jermell Charlo's coaches, in the lead-up to Charlo's fight with Canelo Alvarez.
As James spoke to YouTube InsideFighting, he elaborated on his fighter and then gave further details.
"He is doing great, he is okay, man," said Derrick James to Inside Fight.
Now the multi-million dollar question - the one a whole economy could be built on. Will Errol Spence Jr., look to avenge his ninth-round technical knockout loss to Terence Crawford? A loss that seemingly made Crawford a star, and now raises questions about Spence Jr.'s future in the sport of boxing. James choose his words like Juan Manuel Marquez threw punches. Each one was effective, but not many words were used to convey a lot.
"I believe so, yeah," said James when asked about a rematch between Errol Spence Jr., and Terence Crawford. "I know he will be [victorious]."
With James stating that he believes that Spence Jr., will face Crawford before the year is through - now comes the next question. Was Spence off or is this just how the match-up plays out? James' feels it was an off-night for his prizefighter.
"He looked very off to me, said James. "But I don't want to take away from Terence Crawford's victory."
Now we sit and wait as until an official press release is sent out - everything is speculative. Given that ProBox TV News, has reported that Spence Jr., will wait until the very last minute to inform the world of his decision. We are now entering the final moments before we find out what Spence Jr will decide, but his longtime trainer, might have just tipped his hand as it appears that Crawford vs. Spence II could happen later this year.
