Bob Arum confirms Stevenson vs. Martin is landing in Las Vegas on a Thursday

Shakur Stevenson and Frank Martin will fight on a Thursday night in Las Vegas, Top Rank boss Bob Arum confirmed to ProBoxingFans this week.

The bout, that brings together fighters from rival boxing firms Top Rank and Premier Boxing Champions, lands on a busy sporting week in the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World, as it introduces the Formula 1 race weekend.

It also continues a theme media and fans are seeing more of in 2023 — big fights happening, when in previous years they might have marinated for too long, if they even happened at all.

"That fight is signed," said Arum. "It'll be the Thursday in November — the week of the Formula 1 big race in Las Vegas."

Both Stevenson and Martin are undefeated lightweights with bright futures.

A two-weight world boxing champion already, 26-year-old Stevenson is building a solid resume having already beaten Jamel Herring and Oscar Valdez.

Martin, meanwhile, is a 28-year-old fighter whose best win was a decision over Michel Rivera in Las Vegas, last year.

Arum also said that there is a place on the Stevenson-Martin fight card for Top Rank's burgeoning heavyweight star Jared Anderson.

"I believe the semi main event will be a big fight for Jared Anderson," said Arum.
