It appears being a part of one of the biggest fights of the year isn’t enough for Ryan Garcia, as he seemingly wants to be involved in another super-fight after April 22nd, when he faces Gervonta Davis on Showtime pay-per-view, live from the T-Mobile Arena.
Garcia, a decorated amateur, who has made headlines over the past seven years by building one of, if not the most iconic followings in the sport of boxing, via social media platforms. Garcia. Garcia has yet to be truly tested as a pro but is already fighting on pay-per-view and for a king’s ransom due to his celebrity status in the world, not just the sport of boxing. Garcia though is so confident about the upcoming fight that he has already explained what is next.
“Right after this we calling out Devin Haney,” said Garcia to Bradley Martyn on the popular podcast, Raw Talk Podcast. “Bring on Devin.”
Garcia is making a push in the build-up to his upcoming pay-per-view fight speaking with global platforms, as Garcia insists that he is chasing legacy and greatness currently.
Garcia is no stranger to facing Haney as the two fought each other six times in the amateurs, with Haney winning four of the six fights. Garcia feels they need to fight for a seventh time in the professional realm.
“That’s another prime on prime fight. Bring on Devin,” stated Garcia on the podcast. “I fought him six times in the amateurs. Now we need to have the seventh one.”
