Rolly Romero: Loma makes an excuse after every loss

The WBA junior welterweight world champion, Rolando Romero, better known by his stage name or nickname of ‘Rolly’, had some words for the former three-division world champion, Vasiliy Lomachenko, via a recent Instagram Live session.

It is clear that Romero is far from a fan of the universally admired two-time Olympic gold medalist, who was the fastest male boxer to become a three-division world champion.

“[Lomachenko] got his [expletive] beat by Salido,” said the champion boxer, Romero. “He had like 600…or 300 amateur fights or what the [expletive] it is…he had Top Rank matchmake the [expletive] out of him. He makes an excuse after [every fight when] he loses.”

Romero is hinting that after Lomachenko’s three career losses, Lomachenko has voiced concerns. When losing to Orlando Salido, Lomachenko was frustrated with the dirty tactics of Salido. After the loss to Teofimo Lopez in 2020, Lomachenko felt that the bout was not scored correctly, and recently after losing a close fight for the undisputed lightweight world title, to Devin Haney, Lomachenko and his manager Egis Klimas sought an appeal to be ranked number-one by each sanctioning body to force a mandatory rematch.

“[Lomachenko] looked liked [expletive] with Linares’ [expletive], furthered Romero while pausing to take a drink from a beverage he had in his hand. “…looked like [expletive] against [Jamaine] Ortiz he lost that fight, lost 7 rounds straight against Teo[fimo Lopez], and thought he was going to come back.”

Romero furthered that he is rather unimpressed with Lomachenko’s performance against Devin Haney as viewers continued to pester Romero with questions, he conclude his stream with the following.

“[Against Devin Haney] he took the last round off like [not a smart person],” said Romero. “One thing I hate in this world is [slang for Lomachenko fans].

Rolando Romero won his world title in against Ismael Barroso in a heavily disputed fashion, earlier this year.
