Jake Paul KOs Andre August in one round

Jake Paul has knocked out a professional boxer.

The main event of Friday, December 15th's DAZN telecast taking place at Caribe Royale from Orlando, Florida, saw Paul stop Andre August in one round.

Paul (8-1, 5 KOs), a notable influencer, who has shifted his focus to boxing in recent years has changed his narrative. Rather than money now he wants legacy. Despite August (10-2-1, 5 KOs) being an unheralded boxer, the 35-year-old was a ten-year professional. August was also coming off the biggest win of his career defeating Brandon Martin.

Yet, none of that mattered. An uppercut from Paul sent August to the canvas. Paul would wave goodnight to August as he lay on the canvas.

Paul landed 8 of his 46 total punches, whereas August landed 6 out of his 10 total punches thrown.

At the press conference on Wednesday, Paul promised a first-round knockout. He delivered on that promise on Saturday night.

The time of stoppage was 2:32.

Paul is now riding a two-fight winning streak. He defeated Nate Diaz this summer, but lost to Tommy Fury in February. That marked Paul’s only loss of his professional boxing career.
