Omaha to honor Terence Crawford, Saturday, August 12th

Fresh off the biggest win of his career, Terence "Bud" Crawford, will return home to Omaha, Nebraska, for a well-deserved celebration as after defeating Errol Spence Jr., Crawford is now the only male two-division undisputed world champion in the four-belt era. 

As a North Omaha native and someone dedicated to his community who has taken it upon himself to become a leader, Crawford's accomplishments in boxing and his contributions to the youth at B&B Sports Academy will be celebrated on Saturday, August 12th.

The event will include a Victory Parade and Celebration which will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Downtown Omaha, concluding at the Gene Leahy Mall at the Riverfront. The parade will start at 19th & Farnam on Farnam Street and fans are encouraged to line the parade route to show their support for Team Crawford.

The celebration at Gene Leahy Mall will be filled with excitement, entertainment, and heartfelt tributes to Crawford's journey as a boxer and a mentor. Special guests, city officials, and community leaders will come together to honor the champ and recognize the contributions he is making to the youth in the Omaha community.

For those planning to attend the event, Park Omaha will provide free parking in three city garages: Park 1 at 15th & Douglas, Park 5 at 19th & Capitol, and Park 8 at 12th and Capitol. Additionally, all parking meters in downtown Omaha will be free on August 12 until 1:00 p.m., and the public parking garage at 19th and Harney will also be free Saturday morning.

The City of Omaha extends an open invitation to boxing enthusiasts, sports fans, and the general public to join this momentous parade and celebration.
