We are now getting more information about lightweight Frank Martin's next bout. Martin will face Artem Harutyunyan in a WBC eliminator, that will take place on The Chelsea inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on July 15, as reported by Anson Wainwright of RingTV.com.
The bout which will be broadcast by Showtime will see a vacant world title fight between Nonito Donaire and Alejandro Santiago who will fight for the vacant WBC bantamweight title accompy the event.
Martin is currently viewed as one of the breakstars in boxing in 2022 as his masterclass of Michel Rivera in which he won a twelve-round unanimious decision seemingly elevated him to another tier of the lightweight division. Martin is also trained by the ever-popular Derrick James.
Artem Harutyunyan is a decorated amateur who has spent most of his career fighting in Germany. The stand feat of his career was winning bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
His wins are not notable as a pro, but his pedigree is impressive.
