Joseph Diaz vs Jesus Perez: Weigh-Results, Live Stream, Fight Card & Betting Odds

Golden Boy Promotions returns tomorrow night at the Commerce Casino in Southern California.

2012 U.S. Olympian Joseph ‘Jo-Jo’ Diaz (33-4-1, 15 KOs) will face Jesus Perez (24-5, 18 KOs) in the main event at junior welterweight. The event will be streamed live on DAZN and Golden Boy Promotions YouTube page.

Diaz has seen various adversities derail a somewhat promising career. Diaz defeated Tevin Farmer to win the IBF super featherweight world title. After a thirteen-month layoff caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Diaz would lose his belt on the scale against Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov. That fight would end in a draw.

Diaz returned in July 2021 to defeat Javier Fortuna. Since that fight he went on a three-fight losing streak. Diaz lost to Devin Haney, William Zepeda and Mercito Gesta. Diaz outpointed Jerry Perez last summer to get back to winning ways.

The 31-year-old Diaz recently resigned with Golden Boy Promotions with his career needing an immediate positive result.

Perez enters the bout on a two-fight losing streak. He lost to Alexis Rocha and had a very close fight with Brian Norman Jr. Perez is a much bigger fighter having fought all the way up at welterweight. He has 18 wins by way of knockout.
