Keith Idec of BoxingScene.com was the first to report what looks to be the full fight card of the rumored May 20th bout between undisputed lightweight champion, Devin Haney versus Vasiliy Lomachenko which is strongly suggested to occur in Las Vegas, Nevada, with a strong rumor it could land at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
The three undercard fights look to see super featherweight Oscar Valdez rematching Adam Lopez in the co-main event, a world title fight between Junto Nakatani and Andrew Moloney for the vacant WBO junior bantamweight world title, and the PPV opener which will see Raymond Muratalla versus Jermia Nakathila
“After this fight, we already have something lined up for May, and people will see,” explained Robert Garica, Raymond Muratalla’s manager last week in Fresno, California. “He will be up there with the top of the division because he is going to take over the lightweight division.”
This past weekend, Muratalla was dropped in the first round against Humberto Galindo but would get off the canvas to drop his opponent twice with a left hook to the body. Muratalla would get the ninth-round stoppage and was more than eager to take a quick turnaround to face the top opponents of the division.
Nakathila is best known for his March 26th, 2022, sixth-round knockout of Miguel Berchelt, and since that career-defining performance has been out of the ring waiting for a big fight. Prior to the Berchelt knockout win, Nakathila lost a WBO interim world title fight to Shakur Stevenson.
“I said it a couple of years ago with “Bam” Rodriguez, [that Bam] is a future star, [Muratalla] is the next future star,” stated Robert Garcia exclusively to this reporter. “Raymond is the next one, Raymond is the real deal, I am not afraid to say it.”
