Add another name to the growing list of fighters who'd like to face the undisputed super middleweight world champion, Canelo Alvarez. That name is the former two-weight UFC world champion, Conor McGregor.
When speaking to his own media outlet, The Mac Life, McGregor, who is now 34-years-old let it be known he has a keen interest in fighting Canelo Alvarez.
McGregor had a pay-per-view boxing match against Floyd Mayweather Jr in August 2017. In the bout, McGregor was stopped in the tenth round and made $130 million for the fight. Since fighting Mayweather, McGregor has fought four times in the UFC going 1-3, with all three of his losses being stoppage losses. We are approaching six years since McGregor competed in a boxing match.
Mayweather versus McGregor did a total of 4.3 million buys at the time, a pay-per-view record that still stands.
