Jared Anderson arrested for DUI and mishandling of firearm

Unbeaten heavyweight contender Jared Anderson was arrested yesterday on Monday by Orgen Police for a reported number of offences, which include improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, according to police reporting. 

Anderson, according to the official police report by Oregen police, was pulled over by officers for orginally speeding in a designated 40mph zone, with Anderson clocked at a speed of 55mph, according to the attending officers. 

Upon the officers questioning Anderson, it was noted in the report that officers claimed to have noticed an odour of burnt marijuana coming from Anderson’s vehicle, as well as officers finding an open container of Don Julio alcohol. The officer’s report also noted a smell of alcohol coming from Anderson. 

Officers would then proceed to search the vehicle and would discover a firearm locked in the glovebox compartment of the vehicle.

Anderson was then arrested and booked into Lucas County jail before being released after posting a bond of $7,500 US. However, Anderson, according to the reporting of CBS, is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday at 9 am PT.
