70/30 Split Terms For Fury vs Usyk Are Only Valid For April 29th

Alex Krassyuk, promoter of Oleksandr Usyk, has confirmed to Sky Sports News that the 70/30 split offered in favour of Tyson Fury is only valid for an April 29th fight. The WBC world heavyweight champion Fury & unified world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk are involved in testing negotiations which are being played out in public view after Fury set out his offer to Usyk this past Friday (March 10th). Fury offered a 70/30 split “take it or leave it” offer to Uysk, which the unified world heavyweight champion accepted immediately with a caveat of a £1 million donation to Ukraine for the ongoing struggles currently ongoing in Usyk’s home nation.

The WBA released a statement on the 10th stating a deal had tentatively been agreed for April 29th for a contest to be held at Wembley Stadium, London. Another snag in negotiations arose on Monday (March 13th). Tyson took issue with a rematch clause being proposed in a bout agreement, resulting in a public foul-mouth tirade in his dissatisfaction. Krassyuk revealed yesterday that the negotiators first suggested the rematch clause on behalf of Fury, which Krassyuk had no issue accepting in a proposed bout agreement.

Krassyuk, when speaking to Sky Sports News today (March 14th), despite the pressing issues in getting negotiations wrapped up for an undisputed heavyweight title fight, is not looking at any other date or opponent for Usyk.
