Tyson Fury Gives Opinion On Usyk & Wilder Possible Encounters

WBC World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury certainly has options for his next fight if he is successful against Derek Chisora scheduled for December in London. Speculation has ran wild following his spectacular knockout victory in April over Dillian Whyte and Oleksandr Usyk’s successful rematch and unified title defence against Anthony Joshua back in August. The boxing community were hoping for an undisputed world championship encounter between Fury and Usyk, however those talks were put to bed quickly following Usyk’s request to not fight till 2023. A showdown with rival Anthony Joshua was also mooted, contracts sent but no signature came despite various deadlines being extended much to the disappointment to British boxing.

However, Fury has again spoken regarding Usyk and is willing to fight him next considering that the WBC have not ordered Fury to fight a mandatory defence after completing his mandatory obligations against Whyte earlier this year.

"If Usyk can be made and they actually want the fight, then we'll do that fight next providing I win and everything goes right, because I don't look past anything and you can't count your chickens before they hatch," Fury said.

"If the Usyk fight happens, more than likely it will be in Saudi Arabia. Get through him and then back to the UK."

Deontay Wilder, three times a foe to Fury who fought an epic trilogy which saw Fury claim back to back stoppage victories with the first encounter in 2018 scored a draw, has also stated his desire to fight Fury for a fourth time. Wilder was recently ordered by the WBC to fight Andy Ruiz in a final eliminator to become mandatory challenger for Fury. No date has been set for that fight as of yet but a Wilder re-run is something of interest to Fury and his open to the fight but only if it takes place in the UK.

"Deontay Wilder is now fighting Andy Ruiz Jr for a final eliminator to fight me. Now (a fourth Wilder fight) would be amazing here at Wembley again, wouldn't it? I've been over there (to the United States) three times now. If he wants the fourth fight, he's got to come here," Fury told BT Sport.
