Jarrett Hurd vs. Jeison Rosario headline Wednesday Night Fights on August 21...
Wednesday Night Fights is back on August 21 with a night of stellar boxing, as two former world champions Jarrett Hurd and Jeison Rosario collide over ten rounds at middleweight in Tampa, Florida.
After brutally retiring his last opponent Tyi Edmonds in the fourth round, Maryland native Hurd looks to bulldoze himself into title contention once again at a new weight, against a formidable opponent who shares the same desire.
Also back to winning ways with an impressive second round stoppage victory last year over Israel Nina, Dominican Republic’s Rosario brings all of his ability and confidence into this high stakes main event, continuing his journey to become a two-weight world champion.
In the co-main event, Michael Angeletti puts his undefeated status on the line, clashing with another Dominican fighter, Geraldo Valdez, in a ten round bout at bantamweight. Probox’s renowned puncher Dominic Valle also makes a return to the ring next Wednesday, taking on Kevin Piedrahita over eight rounds.
Rounding out the TV card, a heavyweight slugfest is expected as Kazakh giant Ivan Dychko continues his triumph against Michigan’s Craig Lewis over eight rounds. And attendees at the live event will be treated to an undercard matchup featuring local fighter Tristan Gallichan against young Cuban Renny Mastrapa.
